Conservation

Earth’s natural resources include air, minerals, plants, soil, water and wildlife. Conservation is the care and protection of these resources for future generations and seeks the sustainable use of nature by humans, while preservation focuses on protecting nature from human use.

My contributions have included sitting on several Board of Directors, teaching scuba diving in Belize, leading expeditions and creating websites for several conservation organizations. One of my proudest accomplishments was completing my Master Scuba Diver Trainer’s Certificate and leading the World Wildlife Fund‘s Board of Directors on diving tours in Belize in an effort to educate the board and secure funding for offshore moorings. I also partnered with Dr. Andrea Marshall, Co-Founder of the Marine Megafauna Foundation in Mozambique to brand and build their first website and later, helped developed her Queen of the Mantas website, for which she is internationally know in Conservation.

More recently, I have voiced opinions on a number of issues in Collingwood, Ontario including local land developments and our bike trails.
